We are happy to announce that Terracom’s proposal is the one out of three that was selected to participate in the 1st Open Call of symbIoTe project!
With 34 proposals submitted from IoT companies based in 14 countries across Europe, we are honored to be invited to contribute to the project and expand our knowledge to new areas.
Lately, there has been a lot of interest from potential clients in the infrastructure built to support Terracom’s QR-Patrol PRO. By recognizing the need of a universal solution that will enhance the use of IoT and facilitate development of IoT solutions, it has been decided to offer the underlying technology as a separate IoT platform, named Zastel.
Terracom will make Zastel, the QR-Patrol and MyLoneWorkers’ IoT Platform, symbIoTe compatible (Level 1 compliance) and will offer selected resources to symbIoTe ecosystem.
The starting date of the project is 01/06/2017 and the duration is 6 months.
A few words about symbIoTe
The main goal of symbIoTe (symbiosis of smart objects across IoT environments) is to devise an interoperability framework across existing and future IoT platforms. The framework will enable the discovery and sharing of resources for rapid cross-platform application development and will facilitate the blending of next generation of smart objects with surrounding environments.
To achieve this, symbIoTe will provide an abstraction layer for a “unified view” on the resources of various platforms so that they are transparent to application developers. In addition, symbIoTe will enable federation among IoT platforms, so that they can securely interoperate, collaborate and share resources for the mutual benefit and support the migration of smart objects between various IoT domains and platforms.
